It’s the most wonderful time of the year!! And you are dying to make one of the best lattes out there, but hold the phone! Starbucks has pulled the eggnog latte from their 2021 holiday menu. And we aren’t sure why. Maybe it wasn’t the most popular flavor of holiday drinks. I would have to argue with that one.

But now we are both stuck. Not to fret because I cracked the Eggnog Latte Code. Seriously, after finding out it is only four ingredients, I went on a mission to find the right measurements.

No need to head to Starbucks to figure out the secret off-menu ordering system. And with knowing all the ingredients, you can make as many as you want and save a lot of money doing it too. Save yourself from spending $5 each time you go to Starbucks.

The copycat eggnog latte recipe is out. Expect to sip on this creamy and sweet coffee concoction within a few minutes of your time. Ingredients Need for Eggnog Latte

Continuing scrolling down for printable instructions and recipe list.

  • 1/2 cup eggnog Feel free to use homemade or store-bought, whichever you prefer.
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 โ€“ 1/2 cup espresso depending on how strong you like your latte
  • sprinkle of nutmeg, optional – for garnish

You may also want to top this off with a little dollop of whipped cream.

Making Homemade Espresso

Not everyone has the benefits of having an at-home espresso machine. However, there are a few ways you can make your own strong coffee at home. Here are my favorite tips for creating stronger coffee.

  • Cheat and use instant espresso. This is always my first choice. I keep an extra jar in the cabinet just in case I need it for other recipes, too.
  • Use 1 1/2 to 2 times the coffee you would normally use when making coffee and using the same amount of water.
  • Espresso is typically ground very fine. So if you have a coffee grinder at home, take your current grounds and grind the coffee very fine. Make coffee the same using finer grounds.
  • Consider purchasing a Moka pot, a tool that Italians use to make espresso on the stovetop. They are typically less than $30 to purchase and a lot cheaper than an actual espresso maker.

How to Make Eggnog Latte at Home

STEP ONE: First, prepare your espresso with your preferred method.ย In a glass measuring cup or drinking mug of choice, mix together your eggnog and milk. Give it a little whisk until all ingredients are combined.

STEP TWO: Then warm this up in the microwave for about 1 minute to steam the milk and nog, shake the contents to make sure theyโ€™re fully frothed or use your milk frother.

Side note: If you don’t have a frother; consider using a jar with a blender ball or place it in a mason jar and shake well.

STEP THREE: Add in espresso shots to your taste.

STEP FOUR: Lastly, serve warm. Sprinkle with a little nutmeg garnish. Don’t forget you can also top it with a dollop of whipped cream.
