How to make Easter Rice Krispies Eggs
First, you will want to melt the butter with the marshmallow in the microwave for 45 seconds. When melted, stir until completely combined. It will look like a sticky mess.
Divide your mixture into different bowls. In each bowl, stir in 3 drops of desired gel coloring. Then add in your Rice Krispies cereal to this mixture. Continue to stir until well combined.
Next, spray your plastic Easter eggs for the cooking spray. Then add your Rice Krispies mixture to the plastic mold. Close the plastic egg and let sit for 10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Continue to repeat these steps in alternating colors until you are out of the rice krispies mixture. This recipe should make about 20 Easter Eggs.
How to Store These Rice Krispie Treats
Keep these in an airtight container for up to 1 week. If you are going to be munching on them throughout the week and they seem too firm, just put one in the microwave for 5-10 seconds before enjoying.

Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons of butter divided
- 5 cups of marshmallow (mini-marshmallows or homemade marshmallow pieces) divided
- 6 cups of Rice Krispie cereal divided
- Gel food coloring (neon pink, neon green, purple, and yellow)
- Cooking Spray
Instructions
- Melt 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter with 1 1/4 cups of marshmallow in the microwave for 45 seconds. When melted, stir until completely combined. Add 3 drops of desired gel coloring.
- Add 1 1/2 cups of Rice Krispie cereal to marshmallow cream. Stir until rice cereal
is coated. - Spray plastic Easter eggs with oil and pack with coated rice cereal mixture tightly.
Close the plastic egg and let sit for 10 minutes. Remove and set aside. - Repeat steps 1-3 for each desired color.
