Peeps marshmallows are one of those seasonal treats that are pretty and decorative, but not necessarily a go to candy I would choose to eat by itself. A few years ago, I made some hot cocoa and it dawned on me to use these marshmallows as a way to dress up the hot cocoa.
And just like that, an idea was born. The kids love it and so do I. This recipe makes enough for six servings. If you love the combination of white chocolate and hot chocolate you will want to try your hand at making 3-ingredient White Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows.

- Milk combined with heavy whipping cream – Do not use 100% heavy cream or whipping cream as a substitute for whole milk. These two substitutions will be too heavy and most likely give you a massive tummy ache! Feel free to swap out dairy milk for non-dairy alternatives likeย oat milkย orย almond milk.
- Marshmallow creme – Fluff is fun and it adds the creamy to this rich drink. I don’t buy name brand. The Aldi version works just as well.
- Pink food coloring, Peeps mini marshmallows – Add the perfect flare for this festive white hot chocolate. I typically buy a variety of colorful peeps and allow my kids to pick out their favorite color.
Instructions to Make This White Hot Chocolate with Peeps
STEP ONE: Combine the white chocolate baking chips, milk, whipping cream, and marshmallow creme in the bowl of a slow cooker. No need to stir immediately.
STEP TWO: Next, cook on low for three hours, stirring occasionally.
STEP THREE: Before serving, add the pink food coloring and stir to mix. Giving it a good stir to incorporate.
STEP FOUR: Now you are ready to garnish. Serve with a Peep, a few peeps, or a nice scoop of mini marshmallows on top.
