Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on life’s blessings. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve others through this website, Inspiring Savings.
Happy Thanksgiving – Being Grateful
Every Thanksgiving, I always sit down and write a brief note about how thankful I am that you have found Inspiring Savings. This year will be no different.
However, this year marks a wonderful anniversary for me.
Not only does November bring us ideas about how thankful we should be, but it is also a reminder of God’s amazing handy work. Thirteen years ago in November, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer.
Not only did I have my thyroid removed, but underwent high doses of radioactive treatment not once, but twice. These treatments were a struggle for me. I had to be away from my family for 7 days each time.
They could not be within 20 feet of me. Because I was considered radioactive.
We made it through. But my true testimony is this blog.
I started my site during my struggles. It has brought me more joy than you can imagine. My life’s passion is helping others.
I became an RN in 2001 to do just that, but after having kids, I wanted to be home with them. In March 2013, I quit my job thanks to couponing and could live out my dream. I am now blogging to help others save money.
I am so grateful for what He has provided for my family. The life lessons, and the struggles, and, while going through each, I gave it all to him. He has rewarded me fully. This year marks the thirteenth anniversary of Inspiring Savings and being cancer-free.
Thank you! Thank you, Jesus! And thank you for all your support.
Beyond just these words, God, YOU, and my blog have provided with me MUCH joy!
2025 will bring with it many new adventures in my life. I started a new website that is faith-based to help encourage women (jenschreiner.com) and I am writing my first book! While my trials were not blessings in themselves, they were channels for them.
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial.
James 1:12
All of it is so very exciting because I get to use my testimony to glorify God. I do hope that you follow me along. I know that God has great plans for not only my life, but yours.
Thanksgiving is the perfect time to be thankful for all the amazing gifts we have been blessed with. I hope your holiday is full of love and joy.
