You just got home from the grocery store and you were supposed to get a promotional coupon, but it didn’t happen. What gives? You knew you were going to get a great deal. What a bummer!!!

Don’t let that stop you from trying to figure out what happened. It could very well have been a mistake on your part OR a machine error.

Understanding how to use Catalina coupons can be a real money saver. Catalina coupons offer money off on specific products. They can also be used to reduce the price of products that usually are not promoted with coupons, like fresh meat and produce.

It is important to note that Catalina coupons can be store coupons or manufacturer’s coupons that can be used in other stores.

By design, these coupons will be triggered by what you have purchased that day.

What To Do If You Did Not Get Your Catalina Coupons?

You made all your required purchases, checked out, and NO Catalina Coupons printed from that darn machine. Now, what do you do? Before you panic, make sure you do your math correctly. Catalina Promotions are calculated by shelf pricing and not sale pricing. This always works out for our benefit.

It is ALSO very IMPORTANT to note that the store does not provide Catalina Marketing coupons. So you can ask the store manager, but they will not be able to help much.

These promotions come from the manufacturer and are distributed through Catalina Marketing. They are the ones who “own” the Catalina printer machines at check out. The store is not responsible for providing you with those types of coupons.

What are the Catalina Marketing Coupons?

Catalina coupons (also known as checkout coupons) are coupons produced at the register at check out. Catalina is the brand name of the machine that produces the check-out coupons.

These coupons are triggered to print when a cashier scans a UPC code from a qualifying product that a shopper is buying. Oftentimes, you will get coupons on previously purchased items or for newer products that may interest you.

What Happens If I Didn’t Get My Catalina Coupons at Checkout?

If the store knows that a particular Catalina machine is not working, they may just reimburse you with cash for your purchase. I have had this happen a few times. However, after checking out, you will need to visit your in-store customer service desk and ask.

If the store does not provide a reimbursement, you will have to contact Catalina Marketing.

Keep in mind, you must act fast, all fulfillment requests must be submitted to Catalina by the offer expiration date or within 3 days of the purchase date, whichever is earliest. No requests submitted 4 days or more after the purchase date will be accepted regardless of the expiration date.

Most importantly, it is imperative that you MUST contact them quickly. Here is what you are going to need before contacting them (have your original store receipt handy). They will need the following information.

Store Name and Address
Time of Purchase
Product Purchase
Your Name and Address
Frequent Shopper Card Number
Name of the Promotion as advertised (ex. Spend $100.00 and receive $5 off your next order)
Type of Print you expected (ex. Coupon, Mail-in-Rebate)
Dollar amount of the print (ex. $5 off next order, $0.30 off Gas)
Number of coupons expected (ex. 3 x $5.00)

How Will I Get Catalina Coupons?

Your Catalina coupon will be issued and delivered to you via snail mail. I have received my coupons in about a week. You can always ask them when you write or call about the delivery time.
