When the holidays arrive, thereโ€™s nothing better than creamy delicious fudge. And this one is just like grandmaโ€™s old-fashioned fudge recipe only it’s made with white chocolate and eggnog. A surprise classic twist to a much-loved favorite!

Every year on my Christmas Cookie tray, along with my No Bake Peppermint Dipped Cookies, Chocolate Marshmallow Fudge, and Christmas Peanut Butter Cookies that I make for my friends and neighbors.

With all of the baking that I do during the holidays, I needed a new fresh fudge recipe that didnโ€™t require me to stand over the stove watching a candy thermometer.

The best part of this recipe is – No candy thermometer is needed and takes roughly 20 minutes to pull together. That makes it a win/win in my book! Thatโ€™s where this fudge recipe has become a lifesaver! Quick, easy, and delicious. Each pan makes about 36 pieces, so there is plenty to share!

How To Make White Chocolate Eggnog Fudge

STEP ONE: Prepare a 9×9 deep dish pan by lining it with parchment paper. Measure and cut a piece of parchment paper that will cover the bottom and come up the sides of the pan. This makes it easier to remove the fudge to cut it into squares later.

STEP TWO: In a medium saucepan combine the white granulated sugar, eggnog, and heavy cream. Bring to a boil on medium heat, stirring every few minutes. The mixture should start thickening up, and once boiling, constantly stir with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula over medium heat for 10 minutes.

Please Note: This eggnog fudge can easily burn if you donโ€™t continuously stir. It needs to be watched carefully.

STEP THREE: Turn the heat to the lowest setting and add the white chocolate chips and marshmallow creme. This is the point to add in your variations (dried fruit, nuts, etc). Stir until both are completely melted and incorporated into the mixture.

STEP FOUR: Take the prepared pan and pour the mixture evenly into it. Then sprinkle the nutmeg over the top.

STEP FIVE: Let the fudge cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour.

STEP SIX: Cover and store your fudge in the fridge in a pan for two hours before cutting it into squares. Then you can store it in an airtight container. Laying with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

To cut: Carefully run a butter knife around the edges of the pan to loosen any fudge that is touching the side of the dish. Then slice into squares. You can cut it into your desired size. I ended up with 36 squares.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I freeze fudge?

The shelf life of fudge is about 2-3 weeks if stored properly in an air-tight container. Wrap first in plastic wrap then place in an airtight container to protect it from freezer burn. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.

How long will this fudge keep?

The shelf life of fudge is about 2-3 weeks if stored properly in an air-tight container. I would suggest keeping it in the refrigerator and not on the countertop.

My fudge is too softened. What happened?

If your fudge is not setting correctly, it means that it was not cooked long enough. Cook the fudge for a little longer next time. Step two is very important.
